Description

Deliciously rich and chewy almond croissant blondies that combine the flavors of almond and chocolate in a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and almond flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the sliced almonds and mini chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.
  • To make these blondies even more indulgent, drizzle melted chocolate over the top before serving.
