Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and almond flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced almonds and mini chocolate chips, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.
- To make these blondies even more indulgent, drizzle melted chocolate over the top before serving.
