Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Apple Cheesecake Bars that combine the flavors of creamy cheesecake and fresh apples.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Fold the apple mixture into the cream cheese batter until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the cream cheese and apple mixture over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the cheesecake mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
  8. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a caramel twist, drizzle caramel sauce over the bars before serving.
  • For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the apple mixture.
