- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
- Place each salmon fillet on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap it completely. Season the fillets with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the glaze evenly over each salmon fillet.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet.
- Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully open the foil packets (watch for steam) and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha to the glaze.
- You can also substitute the salmon with trout or tilapia for a different flavor profile.
