Description

Cheesy Beef Burritos with Fries is a flavorful twist on traditional burritos, combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy French fries wrapped in a soft tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked French fries
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  4. Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the beef and cheese mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center of each.
  5. Top each with a handful of cooked French fries and a spoonful of salsa.
  6. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
  7. Place the burritos seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until the tortillas are golden and crispy.
  9. Serve warm with sour cream and additional salsa on the side. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture or use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option, and use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier twist.
