Description
Cheesy Beef Burritos with Fries is a flavorful twist on traditional burritos, combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy French fries wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked French fries
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
- Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the beef and cheese mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center of each.
- Top each with a handful of cooked French fries and a spoonful of salsa.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
- Place the burritos seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until the tortillas are golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with sour cream and additional salsa on the side. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture or use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option, and use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier twist.
