Description

Cheesy Dynamite Chicken Buns are delicious, cheesy, and packed with flavor, making them a perfect snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (12 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Open the package of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a round disc about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Place a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each biscuit disc. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Arrange the filled buns on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or use a spicier hot sauce in the filling.
  • Substitute the chicken with shredded rotisserie turkey or cooked ground beef for a different flavor profile.
