Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Cinnamon Donut Bread that combines the flavors of cinnamon and sugar in a moist loaf.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the loaf pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
  • Serve warm with a drizzle of icing made from powdered sugar and milk for an extra sweet treat.
