Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Cinnamon Donut Bread that combines the flavors of cinnamon and sugar in a moist loaf.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- In a small bowl, combine the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of icing made from powdered sugar and milk for an extra sweet treat.
