- 2 large sourdough bread bowls
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cut the tops off the sourdough bread bowls and hollow out the insides, leaving about a half-inch of bread on the sides. Reserve the bread you removed for later use (like croutons or dipping).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add the sautéed onion and garlic mixture to the seafood mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
- Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowls, packing it in gently.
- Top each filled bread bowl with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Place the bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- For a spicier kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce or some diced jalapeños to the seafood mixture.
