Description
A delicious and easy recipe for crispy air fryer prawns that are golden brown and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the prawns, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss until the prawns are evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese together.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Dip each prawn into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure they are coated well.
- Place the coated prawns in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the prawns for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the prawns from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, substitute regular breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
- Add your favorite spices or herbs to the breadcrumb mixture for a personalized flavor twist, such as Italian seasoning or Cajun spices.
