Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings and olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
- Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chicken wings and toss until they are well coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toss the wings in your favorite sauce (like buffalo or barbecue) after baking.
- You can also marinate the wings in the spice mixture for a few hours or overnight for a deeper flavor.
