- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Add the torn croissant pieces to the egg mixture, stirring gently to coat them evenly.
- Fold in the diced ham, bell peppers, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the ham and add sautéed spinach or mushrooms instead.
- You can prepare the casserole the night before and refrigerate it overnight. Just add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
