Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Croissant Breakfast Casserole, perfect for a hearty morning treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Add the torn croissant pieces to the egg mixture, stirring gently to coat them evenly.
  4. Fold in the diced ham, bell peppers, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the ham and add sautéed spinach or mushrooms instead.
  • You can prepare the casserole the night before and refrigerate it overnight. Just add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
