A delicious and flavorful grilled beef tenderloin infused with herb butter, perfect for elevating your BBQ experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds beef tenderloin, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
- Place the tenderloin on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
- During the last few minutes of grilling, spread the herb butter mixture over the tenderloin, allowing it to melt and infuse the meat with flavor.
- Remove the tenderloin from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve with any remaining melted herb butter drizzled on top.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding a few wood chips to the grill while cooking.
- You can substitute the herbs with your favorites, such as parsley or oregano, for a different twist.
