Description

Delicious Ham and Cheese Spinach Puffs that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 package (1 sheet) puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases. Cut the pastry into squares, approximately 4 inches by 4 inches.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each pastry square. Be careful not to overfill.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or rectangle, depending on your preference. Press the edges to seal and use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  6. Brush the tops of the puffs with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and flaky.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the ham with cooked mushrooms or diced bell peppers.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a spicy kick.
