Description

Jalapeño Peach Chicken Skewers are a delicious and easy-to-make grilled dish that combines the sweetness of peaches with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, pitted and diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the diced peaches, jalapeños, honey, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken and peach mixture onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and peach pieces.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, add a sprinkle of smoked paprika to the marinade.
  • Substitute the peaches with pineapple or mango for a tropical twist.
