- 8 hot dog buns
- 8 beef hot dogs
- 2 cups chili (canned or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the hot dogs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are heated through and have nice grill marks.
- While the hot dogs are grilling, heat the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
- Once the hot dogs are done, place each one in a bun.
- Spoon a generous amount of warm chili over each hot dog.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili.
- Add diced onions and jalapeños for extra flavor and crunch.
- Drizzle sour cream, mustard, and ketchup over the loaded hot dogs.
- Sprinkle with chili powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately while hot.
