Description
Delicious and vibrant Matcha Green Tea Muffins perfect for a delightful morning treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- If using, fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a healthier option, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
- Add a teaspoon of lemon zest for a refreshing citrus twist.
