Description

A delicious and spicy Korean ramen dish topped with grilled beef and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of ramen noodles
  • 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 4 cups of beef broth
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, bring the beef broth and water to a boil. Stir in the miso paste, rice vinegar, and sugar until dissolved.
  4. Add the ramen noodles to the boiling broth and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once the noodles are cooked, reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Allow to simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve the ramen in bowls, topped with the grilled beef, chopped green onion, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For added heat, include sliced jalapeños or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute the beef with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
