Description

Delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls that combine the flavors of cheesecake and fresh strawberries in a soft, fluffy roll.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough.
  6. Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the filling.
  • You can also substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different fruit twist.
