Description
Delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls that combine the flavors of cheesecake and fresh strawberries in a soft, fluffy roll.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the filling:
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough.
- Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the filling.
- You can also substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different fruit twist.
