Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Add 1 ½ tablespoons of cherry gelatin powder to the melted marshmallow and butter mixture, stirring until fully dissolved.
  3. Gently fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into the warm mixture, ensuring not to crush them.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish using a greased piece of wax paper or spatula.
  5. Melt 10 ounces of dark chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pressed Rice Krispies mixture and let set at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  7. Cut the set treats into squares and store them in a covered container at room temperature for up to a week.
