  • 1/2 cup + 1 to 3 tbsp milk (or almond milk)
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar adjust milk for desired consistency

Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Fritter Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a small bowl, combine light brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Peel and chop apples, toss with granulated sugar and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, until just combined.
  8. Layer half of the batter in the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar and half of the apples.
  9. Repeat layering with the remaining batter, cinnamon-sugar, and apples on top.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  12. Mix powdered sugar with milk to drizzle consistency and glaze cooled bread.
