  • 1 pound large prawns peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the prawns, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss until the prawns are evenly coated.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese together.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Dip each prawn into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure they are coated well.
  5. Place the coated prawns in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Cook the prawns for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the prawns from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
