Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Tofu
- Drain & Prep Tofu: Cut a slit in the tofu packaging and drain excess liquid. Pat the tofu dry with paper towels.
- Wrap & Press Tofu: Place tofu between paper towels, press with a heavy object for 5-10 minutes to remove moisture.
- Cube Tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into ½-inch cubes.
- Coat with Corn Starch: In a ziplock bag, add cubed tofu and corn starch, seal and shake to coat.
- Heat Oil: In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Fry Tofu: Add half the tofu cubes to the oil. Fry for about 3 minutes, flip, and fry for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Season and Serve: Remove tofu with a slotted spoon, drain excess oil, and season with salt. Serve immediately.
