Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt the Chocolate: Combine white chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at medium power for 30 seconds, then stir. Repeat until completely melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes total.
  2. Form the Marshmallow Base: Dip the bottom of a large marshmallow into the melted chocolate and place it on parchment paper. Stack two additional marshmallows on top with more chocolate in between. Chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
  3. Coat the Marshmallows: Generously coat the entire stacked marshmallows with melted chocolate, ensuring even coverage. While wet, add candy eyes for decoration.
  4. Finalize Decoration: Allow the chocolate to harden for 15-20 minutes. Dust with sifted powdered sugar and use the black edible marker to draw faces on each marshmallow.
