Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
Spread a thin layer of the seasoned butter on one side of each flattened slice of bread.
Place a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of each slice.
Roll each slice tightly, starting from one end, and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
Place the roll-ups in the skillet, seam side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Carefully turn the roll-ups and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
