Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of bread white or whole wheat
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Method
 

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the seasoned butter on one side of each flattened slice of bread.
  5. Place a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of each slice.
  6. Roll each slice tightly, starting from one end, and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  7. Place the roll-ups in the skillet, seam side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Carefully turn the roll-ups and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  9. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes
