  • 1 ½ pounds beef tenderloin trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Method
 

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  4. Place the tenderloin on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
  5. During the last few minutes of grilling, spread the herb butter mixture over the tenderloin, allowing it to melt and infuse the meat with flavor.
  6. Remove the tenderloin from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice and serve with any remaining melted herb butter drizzled on top.
