  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the lemonade, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the seared chicken to a slow cooker. Pour the lemonade mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve the chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
