Preparation Steps
- In a medium bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add the bloomed gelatin mixture and stir until completely melted and clear.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the gelatin mixture into bowls and add food coloring to achieve desired colors.
- Pour thin layers into a clear cake mold, chill for 30 minutes between each layer.
- Once all layers are set, cover and chill the entire dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- To serve, unmold the jelly onto a platter, top with whipped cream and sprinkles.
